This is my portrait wall display that I bought for *ME*. It showcases my most precious pieces....my children. Well, they are not pieces but they are truely precious. I love these images of them...the pictures truely show their curiosity, whimsy and zest for a fun and happy life. My plan in life is to give this to them!!! Capturing images like these, the ones that are close and you can truely look deep into their mind and souls through the pictures, are so important!! Everytime I walk into the room, past the room, by the room....those pictures are looking at me...... AND I SMILE!!! It really is amazing how I look at pictures of my children from years ago and how they can elicite the same joy as when the moment happened. Forever preserved and printed for my complete pleasure. That is why photography is soooo important to me. That is why I strive to bring that capture to each and every client. My new Holga camera. It is a plastic 'toy'camera that has been around for a couple decades and continues to inspire photos that have a intense feeling to them. Naturally vignetted, a bit grainy and alot of MOOD! It uses medium format film. The camera uses NO batteries, you need to advance the film via hand turning, There is ONE fixed lens and is kinda plasicky (is that a word????). It really is fun to use and I have scanned in some examples of pictures that my kids and I took! If you want an eclectic feeling, moody, and very, VERY affordable, this is the camera for you!!!

Or I think she has it. You know how they put those contendants through the most impossible situations saying..."Well, just when you are on a photo shoot doesn't mean you will do it comfortably!!" Like when they had those poor girls in the pool that was 58 degrees (I am not sure exactly on the temperature but lets just say PRETTY D%^& COLD!!!) And then they are to look all exotic and ethernal, plus one girl goes into a hypothermic shock??? Like, turn up the heat for a day....you know your shooting there...GIVE ME A BREAK!!! {Off my soapbox} ON THE OTHER HAND..... My cousin and I went out in about 28 degree weather to do a shoot for her upcoming road trip to L.A. and dancing in Carnival Week....a place where all the biggies get thier dance entourage!!! We wanted something fresh and new and well, not on the beach in a bathing suit cuz..like...that has been done....ALOT! So feast your eyes what we came up with. Granted we tried to keep her covered as best as possible we it was just the two of us and ...well....I think it was WELL worth putting up with a bit of cold for these. What do you think?????

What if you are able to purchase ALL your fully edited, wonderfully re-touched, proofs in a CD??? Would you........ Could you........ LIKE IT????? LOVE IT????? Let me know...... I am NOT going to give up offering prints!!! OR, custom cards. The prints I have done via my professional lab is customized to my monitor and their printing process is the best around the U.S.A.----- There is no one around here who can print better quality, hence why professional photographers use them!!! Granted, my images will still look better than 'Uncle Bob's snapshots at Christmas', even if printed at Walmart, CVS, or those places. Heck, that again is why "I" am the professional. (professional camera body, professional lens, professional editing software, professional education on how to use the software, hours and hours and years put into crafting my skill and my eye on the artistic approach .....and so on and so on! But to have these images, in your house, to view at any time, to have printed at any time, to e-mail to your brother or sister overseas at any time. TO OWN these proofs, these moments that I capture of your loved ones, the moments or events, that happen only for a split second in your life......this is what I am talking about offering. I hope everyone has had a great Christmas and holiday and now that the New Year is really upon us it is back to the old grind and to making new beginnings and new memories to try to hold onto and cherish. As I am sure all of you have reflected on your past year and I have heard MANY exclaim that "WOW, how fast this past year has went", it really reminds me how fortunate I am in doing what I do!!! I help preserve those fleeting moments, those times and interactions that happen between you and your loved ones, in beautiful and purely natural photos that can be looked on for a lifetime and remembered just a bit more vividly! As this is a new year some price changes will be happening. With that said I will honor last years print price structure on sessions that are paid for and booked within the next 2 weeks. The deadline to do this is January 19th (okay I am giving 2 in a half weeks). After that time the 2007 Prices on my Collections and Prints will be in effect. I will within this week be posting the new prices on my website......don't panick when you view this just know that the above deadline is firm! I have been honored by my brother and future sister in law to photograph their destination wedding in May......this could be a new photographic avenue for me and I will keep options open to possibly shooting weddings on how well and how comfortable this wedding comes around. I may even choose a couple this summer to give a BIG discount on capturing their wedding on film (digital film that is). Just some talk right now, however alot of e-mails from you all may spur me on to follow through with this!!! I had my FREE snow session this past weekend....we had NO snow on Sat....but really, really cold! The "W" family was just wonderful and really troopers to brave the cold without snow! Little Miss "J" was so cute with her little words of "No", "UGG" and the best "KEWL"!! The next day, well.....snow came on down..YEA!!! Miss "E" was just so cute....and the expressions were priceless!!! Just a little Gerber baby! And it wasn't all kids.....it is also this lovely couple. Fun and really the picture perfect couple. Just look how well they compliment eachother....really fresh and the camera LOVED them. Oh, and they camera loved their baby as well....all four legs of him!! Oh, forgot about my mini-mini shoot....Family "K" was unable to come out on Sunday due to the case of the major sniffles!!! But I did get a great shot of the oldest....especially due to she tries with all her might to avoid the camera. THANK YOU EVERYONE....for making this a great weekend. We had Thanksgiving celebrations, that lasted three day it seems!!! Thankful for so many things; *Family *Health *Love *Friends Really.....the basics are the most treasured. Many things are just that....things. Money, material possessions, and many more 'things', that; don't get me wrong that I do love having:); is just that.......THINGS! But the 4 above are true treasures, items that sometimes you have no control over and that people yearn and earn to keep every minute of everyday. I hope your treasures are just those as above, I hope with each day you work to preserve and keep safe those treasures. Do not take them for granted......

Little "G" had the deepest eyes I think I have ever seen, and for sure the deepest I have ever photographed. And look how they draw you in....to look really deep, really long, almost mezmorizing. 4 month olds are unpredictable. Everything that we could do we did to get her in a giggly, smiley mood......but honestly these pics of her just looking are really precious. You can tell she is a thinker, could even grow to be very artistic. Even with the cold weather and ZERO light (if clouds could be any thicker or greyer we would have been in darkness), the images only reflect the brightness of their love for eachother and their most precious daughter. I love photography....I love the way taking images of people and how the pictures evoke some feeling from *ME*. But, times are hectic and when I go to take pictures of my family and events seem a bit hurried to me. To end this I decided, while I should have been dusting and shining upstairs, to take my little ones and "find the light" in my house. I opened a ton of windows (again looking at the windows thinking "Oye Vey, these desperately need a shine") and asked all three to be goofy and wear some new hats I bought on my weekend away with the girls. They were completely cooperative, and with some musical help and jammin' to Megan's CD, we had sooo much fun. They are my life, my loves, and my MUSES!!!

Picture of the moon....and let me tell you it took more than one take. Really this is about the fourth time trying to take a picture of 'the man in the moon'. Also, a landscape pic of the sun setting at the tree lines across of the pond in our back yard. Autumn, my favorite time of the year!!!

Thank You "D" family for allowing me into your home and get just a peek of just how wonderful you are as parents and as people!! It is amazing to see just how great you are with little "S" and how much love and joy that each of you share with one another. Not only within your immediate family but with your extended one! This time "S's" Aunt was there to join in the fun of picture day......and boy did this little girl love her Auntie!!(thanks for helping me get the little one's attention!) Once in a while you see a picture that just melts your heart....but when you get a hand full it is truely a treasure. Here is your sneek peek!!!

Our annual Girls Weekend was a success. Lots of laughs.. Lots of shopping... Lots of sharing... Lots of ..people looking at our chest and wondering???Who is Rick Lachey???? Enough said....shhhhhhh!
